OBJETIVO DE LA ACADEMIA

La academia tiene como objetivo el estudio, la difusión y la defensa de los principios de la seguridad social a efecto de contribuir a garantizar el derecho humano a la salud, la asistencia médica, la protección de los medios de subsistencia y los servicios sociales necesarios para el bienestar individual y colectivo.
Se funda el día 5 de Noviembre de 1998 en la Ciudad de México, D.F., con duración indeterminada. Desde esa fecha, es Presidente a nivel Nacional, el Dr. en Derecho Alberto Briceño Ruiz.
La Academia, es un grupo interdisciplinario en el que las opiniones de cada materia son dadas por especialistas de diferentes profesiones, lo cual es muy enriquecedor, porque al pertenecer a determinado grupo, por ejemplo el de licenciados en derecho, sus comentarios son similares y en la Academia se da cabida a la pluralidad.
Nace con el ánimo de extenderse a toda la República, de tal manera que a la fecha se han constituido 8 Colegios en los Estados, los cuales aparecen a continuación con sus Presidentes:
